Implicit Bias

Implicit Bias

I reflected for a while thinking what the best way to start this blog post would be. I could introduce myself and share my belief in science but what next? What would individuals coming across my page want to know as it pertains to them…

I am starting with the best way I know how…FOUNDATION! In my opinion, any work starts from within. A forgotten tool is the Harvard’s Implicit Association Test (IAT)—we may have come across this work in the past but don’t know where we are today!

I encourage you to take a moment to check in with yourself- the feedback from these tests is instant and will give you an understanding of areas of concern for YOU!

Students of psychology, professors, teachers, experts, lay person coming across my page…it’s probably been a while so check in with yourself: https://implicit.harvard.edu/

About the IAT: “The Implicit Association Test (IAT) measures attitudes and beliefs that people may be unwilling or unable to report. The IAT may be especially interesting if it shows that you have an implicit attitude that you did not know about.” Check out the website above for more information and participate in this experiment to know yourself better!

•Any surprises?

•First time taking the test? Your thoughts?
